	SAFER STREETS BETTER ENVIRONMENT IMPROVED SCHOOLS MORE JOBS TAMESIDE IN GENERAL


	The Tameside community and the Labour Council have the same Priority----SAFETY--- We all fear crimeand anti-social behaviour,generallybroughtabout by a small part of the community acting irresponsibly. The best solution is to provide all possible resources in particular more uniformed officers on the street. So we have matched your demands with the following NEW RESOURCES :- POLICE ON THE STREETS : Extra police providedby the GMP precept. PATROL ON THE STREETS : More Tameside patrolles valued by the communityand police. WATCH ON THE STREETS : Added cameras for increased surveilance and crime detection. LIGHT ON THE STREETS : New street lights being replaced at the rate of 1000 per year. 50 more police officers,12 more community safety officers, 20more Tameside Patrollers. 82 extra officers in total
